Sabrina Carpenter and Dolly Parton have teamed up for a country rendition of the pop superstar’s Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping hit, “Please Please Please.” The updated version was released as part of the deluxe edition of Carpenter’s Grammy-winning album, Short n’ Sweet, which was released on Valentine’s Day (February 14). The duo also filmed a vintage-inspired music video that subtly referenced Carpenter’s ex, actor Barry Keoghan, with scenes of the singers on a road trip together and getting involved in a police chase. Carpenter shared a clip of the video on Instagram on Friday, excitedly captioning her post, “Dolly and me singing in a pickup truck!!!!!! I am so honored to have one of my biggest idols on a song that means so much to me. Love you forever @dollyparton 🤍🦋” Parton also praised Carpenter on her Instagram while sharing a clip of the duo in a photo shoot, writing, “Turns out, two things can be short and sweet 😉❤️ @sabrinacarpenter.” (People)
